Equippment
We recommend that you bring the following items:
• A good hat (for protection against the sun).
• A pair of good sun glasses.
• Camera incl. flash.
• Binoculars.
• Flash light (extra batteries).
Clothes
In general we recommend easy clothes of cotton that dries quickly which let the body "breath".
The season between May and September is winter in South Africa, the night- and morning hours can be chilly, thus we recommed to bring a warm pullower - or a light jacket, long pants and a pair of thin gloves.
Shoes
The most convenient to wear in the bush is a pair of boots with a good, soft sole.
Climate
In the south of Africa it is winter when it is summer in Scandinavia and in north of Europe.
May - sept. - chilly nights but in the middle of the day the temperature rises to 20 – 30 degrees. There is normaly no rain during this season.
Sept – nov - are the spring months and the temperature rises to 25 and 30 degrees during the day.
The rain starts generally in November.
Nov – feb. - thunder -and rain weather can occur in the evenings and in the night time. The days are in general dry and the temperature can rise to 35 degrees.
Feb – april is very much green.
